Recapture the Fortress Cities - resultaten en toekomstperspectief

De afgelopen jaren is er binnen het kader van het Interreg Europe project RFC intensief samengewerkt rond het thema hoe fortificatie-erfgoed ingezet kan worden voor de toekomst.

De Europese samenwerking heeft heel wat lokale en regionale verbeteringen opgeleverd in de deelnemende vestingsteden (Antwerpen, Lier, Mechelen, Herentals en Dendermonde). Tijdens het project zijn meerdere Vlaamse steden aangehaakt en in de toekomst zullen ze gestructureerd blijven samenwerken.

In recent years, within the framework of the Interreg Europe project RFC, there has been intensive cooperation on the theme of how fortification heritage can be used for the future.

The European cooperation has delivered many local and regional improvements in the participating fortress cities (Antwerp, Lier, Mechelen, Herentals and Dendermonde). Several other Flemish cities joined the project and they will continue to collaborate in a structured way in the future.
